Youngsters in Grimsby are likely to have had a great time when they put on children's fancy dress to celebrate the release of a Disney book.

They turned up at the West Marsh Children's Centre recently sporting their best Woody and Buzz Lightyear costumes in honour of the new Toy Story 2 Disney graphic novel.

The Grimsby Telegraph told how children, toddlers and babies all took part in dressing up, putting on their best cowboy shirts or space outfits.

Eighteen-month old Raven Gloyne decided to go as Woody and her mum expressed her daughter's delight at the Disney-themed event, saying: "Raven loves looking at because they're so bright and colourful."

Books are a great way to get youngsters involved in children's fancy dress and World Book Day on March 3rd 2011 is likely to see kids in schools across the country wearing costumes of their favourite characters from stories.
