Kendal Calling reveals fancy dress theme

Festival organisers announced their 'Beasts and Machines' idea this week and for additional clarity, they have outlined what they expect from people attending the knees-up. They said that "woodland creatures turning intergalactic" sums up this year's event - so expect plenty of robots and fairies. As well as announcing the fancy dress theme, the organisers have added to the already substantial list of top performers with the likes of Kitty Daisy & Lewis, The Boat, Sophie Barker from Zero 7, and Capper. The festival takes place on the weekend of July 29th-31st and features headline acts The Cribs, Echo and the Bunnymen, Chase and Status and Hugh Cornwell from The Stranglers.
