What Data We Hold
Escapaders Ltd only collects personal data during the checkout process to allow us successfully deliver your order to you or contact you regarding your order if required. During the check out process we collect the following information from you.
Full Name Full Postal Address Contact telephone number and email address.
Additionally to this, if you are sending the order to another individual or address, then we would require to collect and store their information for this purpose. So prior to placing an order for another individual, please ensure you have permission to do so.
How We Use Your Data
Your personal data is used soley for the purpose of fulfilling your order. Additionally if you have opted in to receiving our newsletter, your email address will be used for future marketing campaigns. If you do not wish to receive marketing emails then all you need to do is goto the last email you received from us and click the unsubscribe link within. We WILL NEVER share or sell your data!

As with any business, there is a lagitimate need to pass your data to a select few third parties to facilitate the processing of you order, as such by placing an order on our site, you concent to this happening. Right to Access Data
Under the new regulations you have the right to request a full copy of the data we hold about you. To request this data simply email firstname.lastname@example.org, set the heading/title of the email as "GDPR: Data Information Request". The email is to contain your full name and postcode. To confirm your identity to release your data, we will match the email address the request originated from, your name and postcode with our systems. If all 3 points match then your information will be sent to you. Requests for your data are free, however we reserve the right to charge an admin fee of £15 if multiple requests are made within a 12 month period. Alternatively you can log into your account on our website and see all the data we hold.
Duration of Data Retention
We aim to retain your personal data for the minimum amount of time possible. The current minimum time frame is 6 year as this is a requirement of HMRC for us to maintain sales records and data for Business accounts and VAT reporting. Right to Deletion of Data
You have the right to request that we delete all personal data held about you. To do this please follow the same process as per a data request above, however change the title of the email to "GDPR: Data Deletion Request". Please remember that due to the laws on retention of invoicing data we will be unable to fully delete your data until the 6 year period has expired.
What information do we collect?
When you order we need to know your name, e-mail address, delivery/billing address. This allows us to process and fulfill your order and notify you of the order status. We also ask you for your telephone number(s) so that we can contact you easily if required. As an extra measure of security we do not collect/store any credit card information. If you are concerned about your data, you have the right subject to the payment of a small fee (currently £10) to request access to the personal data which we ma hold or process about you. You have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in your data, block or delete your data free of charge.
How do we use your information?
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others unless you have consented to us making your name and address available to carefully vetted companies.
We would also like to send you offers for goods or services from Escapade or others from time to time which we think you may find of interest. If you do not wish to receive this information, do not tick the opt-in box on our checkout page before submitting your order.
Accessing your order information
After making a purchase from Escapade we store the contract of your purchase and will send you the details of your order as well as our general terms via e-mail. You can find the terms on our website at all times. You can also easily access the details of your recent orders in your Escapade customer account.
Advertising & Remarketing
We use Google AdWords Remarketing to advertise Escapade across the Internet. AdWords remarketing will display relevant ads tailored to you based on what parts of the Escapade website you have viewed by placing a cookie on your machine. THIS COOKIE DOES NOT IN ANYWAY IDENTIFY YOU OR GIVE ACCESS TO YOUR COMPUTER The cookie is used to say “This person visited this page, so show them ads relating to that page.” Google AdWords Remarketing allows us to tailor our marketing to better suit your needs and only display ads that are relevant to you.”
