Walk Like a Pirate Day
Located on the shores of Camden’s Regents Canal The Pirate Castle (Camden’s only castle) is a community centre that invites people from all walks of life to take part in their water-based community activities. As well as the action that happens on the water which includes: canal boating, canoes & kayaks The Pirate Castle also host a plethora of community activities including: Theatre & Comedy workshops, children’s parties, holiday schools, a youth club, computer classes and much more.
The organizers of the Pirate Castle have started an annual tradition in Camden for Walk Like A Pirate Day where they will be encouraging attendees to don some pirate fancy dress costumes or their WLAP t-shirts and walking 12 miles along the River Lea. Escapade is offering a special 10% discount for all those taking part in the walk, you can buy your pirate costumes & accessories online or from our London fancy dress store with a special discount available on the Pirate Castle website.
The sponsored event which will be taking place on May 26th 2012 aims to raise awareness and funds for the work done at the Pirate Castle & they hope that the fundraising walk will allow them to continue to improve the services they offer.
