For over seventy years he has tortured the people of Gotham from comics to the silver screen with roles reprised in film numerous times. He has been played most famously by the actors Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger, the latter who received a posthumous Oscar for his dark portrayal of the famous character after his tragic death. When it comes to the perfect villain the Joker ticks all of the boxes and a few more.
