Venetian Mask, Volto - Foglia Colore Antichizzate Dell’Arte Italian Carnival Mask
A real hand made product, made by artists and decorated in full respect of Venetian artisan traditions and original designs developed in Venice together with “Commedia Dell’Arte” during the 17th Century.
These masks are made of a mix of wax and cloth, as such they are much lighter then they appear to be and are also not irritating to wear, making them ideal for eating, dancing and flirting.
The Volto mask AKA Larva mask is usually white in nature or has white on it. The tricorn and the long cloak are it’s most common accessories. The name of this mask “Larva” is commonly associated with the word Ghost and like the Bauta (also available on our website), this mask hides the identity of the bearer while at the same time allowing him/her to breathe comfortably and drink easily. This mask is tied at the back through ribbon strips.
