If you can’t quite make it to out to Hawaii this summer you may find that Camden in London is offering the next best alternative. This is because Koko is hosting Guilty Pleasures and their ode to summer fun with a huge fancy dress themed party - Aloha Hawaii. A leading collection of DJ’s and dance troupes will be distributing the pop music in abundance in get ups comprising of coconut bras, and lei garlands as the odd volleyball is tossed around here and there.

Karaoke Rockstar takes over Room 2 whilst on the main stage features the uber entertainer Beat A Maxx. Maxx mixes turntablism with state-of-the-art video technology and mashes together the biggest tunes, film, and TV clips. With his exclusive video remixes and ingenious video scratching, he pushes video DJing to the limit, as he gets the Fancy Main Floor bustin' moves n shapes. Screens, Projectors and a 10ft video wall bring his art truly to life! Maxx is joined by DJ Simon Guirao, who from his early days as clubs editor of Loaded magazine, through to his most recent incarnation as the resident DJ for Ibiza Rocks, Simon has always turned it on when manning the decks. His eclectic style of playing regularly sees him carve a route through the old school house sounds of Chicago, via the Motown sound of Detroit before landing with a crash in a pile of kick-ass guitar music.

Karoke kings SingStar will be bringing their final round of Sing For Your Summer to the middle bar in Koko where lucky members of the audience in suitably fine voice can win themselves tickets to the festival that loves to dress up, Bestival!

It’s going to be one big blow out of a beach party. It’s the last Guilty Pleasures of the summer too so make sure you’re there before we depart to the Edinburgh Fringe where we reside throughout August before our return to KOKO in September for our sixth birthday!
