With the sun shining and festival fields and urban spaces calling, Fancy transform Proud2 with its amazing spectacle and sounds that compliment its uniquely dressed party crowd.
From the dazed n’ confused, to the Loveboxers and old school ravers, anyone for tennis or croquet on the lawn? Hawaii beach paradise or that fancy dress up idea that you’ve just been hit with. “Anything goes” is the Fancy mantra in the dress stakes, so come as you like but be ready to party.
The Fancy Summer Festival is a multi-themed and crowd hopping event that brings together many of the capital’s most colourful and hedonistic party goers. Headlined by uber-blogged and Twittered London three piece, Is Tropical, whose new single “The Greeks” has had over a million hits on Youtube, fire up the decks with a fusion of NYC basement disco, full on indie rave through to “tracks for a banging hell ride in Estonia.” Signed to French music and fashion label Kitsune (Digitalism/Two Door Cinema Club), Is Tropical are about to release their debut album and catch them as they light up the Fancy dancefloor
Flanked by VJ/DJ, Beat ä Maxx, this is next level turntablism cutting together buzzing club bangers, pop hits and some of the most memorable tunes and classics from the past. Topped off with state-of-the-art video technology, Maxx also mashes the tunes together with film and TV clips, making exclusive video remixes and ingenious video scratching that pushes video DJing to the limit.
Rounding the line up off is fashionista and club DJ Ronnie Joice, behind the Re:Joice and Ronnkie Pop events, and known for getting Dizzee Rascal, Agyness Deyn, Kate Moss and Noel Fielding throwing shapes on the dancefloor lights up the brand new, 3000 capacity, Las Vegas inspired super-club, Proud2. Housed across 3 floors and with countless bars and an extravagant £1 million revamp that includes an outside riverside Terrace featuring a bespoke covered bar and 18 heated lounge beds! Fancy host their Hawaii Tikki Beach Paradise here.
With no rules in the land of Fancy, come as whatever or whoever you want, and the winner of the most creative and imaginative outfit on the night will receive a cash prize of £300 with 3 runners up prizes of £100 each!
Fancy: “The mental faculty through which whims, visions, and fantasies are summoned up; imagination, especially of a whimsical or fantastic nature.”
