1. How do I navigate your site?

The menu on the left hand side of the website is split into two categories:

  • Fancy dress costumes and accessories sales catalogue
  • Fancy dress hire catalogue

The costumes in the hire catalogue are a sample of the thousands of costume we have at Escapade. You will have to come into our London store to see our full range.

The rest of the website is full of products you can buy online. Simply browse the categories and click the picture to see more details. Alternatively, if you know what you’re looking for, simply type your search request in the search engine at the top of the page i.e. “Pirates”, all the products we have for pirates including costumes, and accessories are displayed.

2. How do I hire a costume?

To enquire about our costumes simply browse our costume hire catalogue. When you find a costume you want, click the ‘Add to Wardrobe’ button, you will be directed to a page where information about your exact requirements will be requested.

You may then either carry on shopping or click ‘Request items’. Note: “Your hire wardrobe“ is shown on the right hand side of the web page.

When you have finished shopping, click ‘request items’ in the hire wardrobe. We shall then contact you by email once we’ve checked it’s availability to book a fitting.

When you hire a costume from Escapade you must read the terms and conditions of hire and agree to them. You can view our Terms and Conditions of hire on this website.

3. Can I book a hire costume online?

No, the hire catalogue is for you to view some of the costumes we have for hire. You may however send us your requirement to check for availability. A member of our team will then get in contact with you with further details.

4. Do I have to leave a deposit for hire costumes?

A refundable deposit is required for all costumes hired the amount of deposit required is dependant on the costume. See Hire Terms and conditions for full details.

5. Can I cancel a reserved costume?

A non-refundable booking fee of £10 per costume is required, and is deducted from the hire of the chosen costume. This fee may be transferred and deducted from the hire fee of an alternative costume; however it is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled.

6. How do I order your sale costumes or accessories?

Simply browse our sales catalogue, when you have found the item you want, click ‘Add to Basket’ button to place it in your sales basket. Follow this step for each item you wish to order.

You may then either carry on shopping or click ‘Checkout’. Note: “Your Order “is shown on the top right hand side of the web page.

When you have finished shopping, click ‘Checkout’ in “Your Order”.

7. What if I want to cancel an order?

Once you have confirmed your order you will not be able to cancel the order online. Go to the Customer Service menu and select 'Returns' for details of how to return items to us.

8. What happens if an item is out of stock?

Once we have accepted your order, the stock is automatically reserved for you. In the event that we are out of stock of an item that you have ordered we will contact you by email or telephone to suggest an alternative item or refund. Note: If we are out of stock in our shop, we may still have stock in our warehouse; in this circumstance you will be advised by email or telephone.

10. Will my personal information be safe?

We only hold the information you give us when you register or make an order, including any historical orders you may have placed with us. We will never sell, trade or rent your personal information to any third party without your explicit permission.

11. Is it secure to give my credit card details over the internet?

Our site uses industry-standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide encryption of personal information such as your name, address and credit card details. In this way, information passed between your computer and us cannot be read in the unlikely event of someone intercepting it. Note: we do not keep your card details as transactions are made direclty to our payment provider.

12. Can I have a product delivered outside the UK?

We are able to deliver world-wide, however, if delivering outside of the UK, the additional cost of postage will be added to your order. We will only charge what it costs us to post. We hope to email you within 24 hours of an international order.

13. What methods of payment do you accept?

We take the following major credit and debit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Switch, Solo, and American Express. We also accept Palpal transactions.

14. My purchase is a gift for someone else; can I send it directly to their house?

Yes, simply provide us with an alternative delivery address during checkout. To help prevent credit card fraud we may phone you for further identity information. We are constantly reviewing and upgrading our security procedures to ensure that shopping with us online is as safe as possible.

Prices can differ from our online store to our shop price. We endevour to reduce our prices to give customers the best possible service.
